Hello!
Don't forget to resister for Special Populations Day if you haven't already!
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Route 66, this year’s theme is:
Helping Every Oklahoma Student Find Their Way
Based on the needs assessment distributed in May, many of you asked for additional professional development focused on mental health and effectively supporting students with disabilities. We listened—and this year’s agenda is designed with those needs in mind!
Join Special Populations Coordinators, Disability Coordinators, counselors, Student Services staff, and other CareerTech professionals for practical sessions focused on:
• Helping counselors and Student Services staff train instructors on accommodations• Navigating conflict and difficult conversations• Addressing mental health needs in CareerTech• Exploring assistive technology that can support student success• Connecting and sharing ideas with professionals in similar roles
