     Great news: the latest edition of our Hot Jobs Flyer is here, packed with fantastic job opportunities right in our community. These positions are highly sought after, so don't wait—spread the word and help someone land their next great career!
 

     But how does someone apply??? - The first 10 pages, a person will apply with the business directly. If someone are interested in any of the positions through Work Experience or On-the-Job Training, they need to apply for our program (if they aren't a participant already) at www.cowib.org/apply; if they are a participant already, have them tell their Career Navigator that they are interested in one of the positions.

  • Location: Check for locations near you

  • Purpose: Kids 18 years old and younger can enjoy a no-cost summer meal by visiting their nearest meal site.

• VA Claims Assistance with ODVA Service Officer:

  • Date: June 17th, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

  • Location: Francis E Hamilton VFW Post 4938, 425 S Fretz Ave, Edmond

  • Purpose: ODVA will be available to help you navigate your benefits and get the support you deserve.

• Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Health Fair:

  • Date: June 19th, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

  • Location: Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Chena Bldg, 335600 E 760 Rd, Tryon

  • Purpose: Annual health fair offering health care vendor handouts, activities for all ages, door prizes, and a complimentary lunch.

• Nutrition Class - The Gut-Brain Connection:

  • Date: June 19th, 1:00 PM

  • Location: Mercy Edmond, Cafe Conference Room, 2017 N I-35 Frontage Rd, Edmond

  • Purpose: Learn about why your gut and brain are more connected than you think. Reserve your spot by sending an email to stenia.little@mercy.net.

• Friday Veterans Coffee:

  • Date: June 20th, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

  • Location: Around the Corner Diner, 11 S Broadway, Edmond

  • Purpose: This weekly gathering is open to all veterans and active service members, offering a relaxed and friendly space to connect, share stories, and enjoy camaraderie.

• Link Up Lounge Social Group:

  • Date: June 20th, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

  • Location: Link Up Lounge, 708 W 15th St, Ste 210, Edmond

  • Purpose: Fun, laid-back space for your tween or teen to hang out, make friends, and just be themselves. Teens meet at 4:00 PM. Tweens meet at 5:00 PM. Snacks, games, and good vibes provided.

• Bump Fest 2025:

  • Date: June 21st, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

  • Location: Church of the Servant, 14343 N MacArthur Blvd, OKC

  • Purpose: Connect with a community of supportive moms and experts, explore amazing resources, and celebrate the beautiful journey of motherhood. Get your FREE tickets.

• Book Sale - Friends of the Mabel C Fry Library:

  • Date: June 21st, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

  • Location: Mabel C Fry Public Library, 510 Elm Ave, Yukon

  • Purpose: Prices start at just 25 cents.

• Community Health Fair:

  • Date: June 21st, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

  • Location: The Well, 210 N James Garner Ave, Norman

  • Purpose: Local partners and providers will offer health screenings and services including: dental health, brain health & memory screenings, heart health, vision checks, cancer screenings, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, STI, and much more. Free and open to all ages. Registration required online.

• OKCPD Summer HoopFest:

  • Date: June 21st, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM

  • Location: Scissortail Basketball Courts, 301 SW 11th St, OKC

  • Purpose: This event is for Grades 5th through 12th. It will have basketball, 3pt contests, skills challenges, yard games, haircuts, music, food, and more. Sign up to participate in the basketball games.

• First-Time Home Buyer Seminar:

  • Date: June 22nd, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Location: Home Creations, 8625 NW 77th St, OKC

  • Purpose: Attend for an informative and engaging seminar designed to guide you through the home-buying process. Reserve your spot today by emailing mario@homecreations.com.

• Kids' Chance of Oklahoma Scholarship:

  • Deadline: June 30th

  • Purpose: Accepting applications for Fall 2025. If you have been affected by a parent or guardian's work related injury, accident or death, we can help you go to college.

• Care Careers Oklahoma Zoom Call:

  • Date: July 1st, 10:00 AM

  • Purpose: This Zoom call will have long-term facilities who are looking to hire for entry level positions: CNAs, CMAs, and DDCA Aides. All of the facilities can offer free CNA, CMA, and DDCA Training and certification to their employees for free. Log on to learn about these opportunities.

• YEPP Summer Camp 2025 - Session 2:

  • Date: July 14th-17th & July 21st-24th

  • Location: Goodwill, 316 S Blackwelder, OKC

  • Purpose: Back to School Event presented by the OKC Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Career fair, health area, children's area, live music, folklore, and entertainment available.
